How do I submit a joint application?

How do I submit a joint application?

Simply start your application via the apply now button and follow the prompts.

There are a few points to consider when applying with another person:

  • You both need to be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
  • You both need to have ID details ready (such as a Passport, your Australian driver’s licence or Medicare card).
  • For a refinance application: you both need to be listed on the current property title. If you are both owners on the title, you must both be applicants on the new loan.
  • If you live together, you’ll need to provide a considered estimate of your combined expenses. And if you live separately, you will be asked to estimate expenses for your household.

Both applicants, separately, need to:

  • Provide details of your individual incomes, assets, and liabilities. The primary applicant will appear as ‘Applicant 1’, and the secondary as ‘Applicant 2’.
  • provide evidence of your financial position by securely linking your bank accounts, (we access read-only copies of your bank statements) Or, this can be done manually by uploading copies of your statements.
  • disclose the dependents you support. We'll ask the primary applicant to include dependents they support jointly with you as well as any they support independently without you. If you're the secondary applicant, you'll only need to disclose any dependents you support independently– joint dependents will have already been disclosed by the primary applicant.

Legal things about our rates
Our home loans are subject to credit criteria and eligibility requirements. Home loan interest rates are for new customers only and can change. Our comparison rates are based on a $150,000 loan amount over a 25 year term. They factor in fees associated with applying for the loan; ongoing fees and fees associated with leaving the loan. Our fixed loans roll to a variable principal and interest rate at the end of the fixed term. If the interest only period is not specified, the comparison rate is calculated on a one year period.

WARNING: The comparison rates are true only for the examples given and may not include all fees and charges. Different terms, fees or other loan amounts might result in a different comparison rate.
